Sharyn Richardson

Sharyn Richardson is a Wisconsin-based artist and the founder of Light Pixie Studio. Her work combines storytelling, imagination, and a deep appreciation for nature. Originally trained as a painter, Sharyn has explored portraiture, landscapes, animals, flowers, photography, and mixed-media artwork. Her inspiration comes from the beauty of the natural world, including the Driftless region of southwestern Wisconsin and the landscapes of the American West. Her artwork often celebrates light, color, and the emotional connection between people, places, and memories.

Sharyn’s creative journey includes years as a professor in International Affairs before returning fully to her passion for art. She works with mixed media including pastels, watercolor, pigmented inks, and other archival techniques. Her studio, Light Pixie Studio, reflects her love of creating artwork that brings beauty and joy into everyday spaces.
