Mary Lynch

I grew up in Sharon, Wisconsin. I have been painting Wisconsin landscapes for most of my life and I believe Wisconsin is the most beautiful state in the country. My mother, Martha Hayden, is an accomplished fine artist and was my first art teacher. She and I often paint together. I have pursued art as a hobby for decades while also pursuing my engineering profession in New York City. I have now retired from engineering and rededicated myself to art. Since 2017, I have been participating in Plein Air competitions in New York, Maryland, and Wisconsin. Painting brings me joy and I hope to share that joy with others. When people view my landscapes, I want them to feel some of the joy that I felt while I was painting.
