Painting begins Friday, 10/02/2026, at 4 pm local time.
Pick up your paintings on Saturday 10/17/2026, starting at 3 pm. Earlier pickup times may be available by coordinating with the gallery.
Three works can be submitted for judging and the show/sale.
Accepted media: watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, and gouache.
All works entered MUST have the BTB 2026 stamp on the back/verso. Works on paper can be verified by a committee member prior to framing.
The designated painting area for the event is a 15 mile radius from the intersection of Fifth and Main streets, Downtown La Crosse, WI.
Paintings must be done outside, on location, without the use of photography.
The maximum size of any submitted artwork can be no larger than 20 inches in either direction, not including the frame.
All works submitted for judging/exhibition MUST be turned in on Thursday, 10/15/2026, between 1 pm and 5 pm at Gallery 1802.
Early submission of works can be arranged in advance by contacting one of the committee members.
All work must be displayed in a quality frame. Please use wire for hanging. Submitted work must be ready to be displayed. Note: cradle frames or wraps may be used, however edges must be in a dry condition (no wet paint), and must have a neat appearance appropriate for display.
The BTB Committee can reject for judging/display any submitted work not following the show guidelines or work that is deemed by the committee to not be in keeping with the standards of the event.
All sales will be processed through Gallery 1802. Sales tax must be collected for sales. Sales commission this year will be 20% thanks to the generosity of CRAVA and Gallery 1802. Your cooperation in reporting all sales of work associated with the event to the committee/gallery will be greatly appreciated.
In the event you make a sale(s) during the event, please ensure that Gallery 1802 has your address information for payment. Artists checks will be mailed approximately two weeks after the close of the event.
