Artists will be painting outdoors within a 15-mile radius of downtown La Crosse, WI creating works in oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, or gouache, each finished on site and prepared for exhibition.

- Stamping Dates: October 2 | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM & October 3 | 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Gallery 1802 )
- Artists complete their work on site, complete the artwork drop-off (October 15) and ready it for exhibition and sale at Gallery 1802

We will have 4 artists (subject to change) demonstrating oil and watercolor painting. Our demonstrating artists are Kathie Wheeler, Paul Bergquist, Jon Erickson and Bob Witte.

Quick Paint Notes: All works must have the quick paint stamp. Completed paintings must be FRAMED, so please plan ahead. For judging please display on your easel. Last year’s quick paint was popular with the public/tourists, several “off the easel” sales were made. Please report all such sales to a committee member.

Come celebrate the opening of the Between the Bluffs 2026 exhibition and view original paintings of the local area created by participating artists during the festival. The event is open to the public, with no admission fee.
Awards will be presented at approximately 7:00 PM.

The exhibition and art sales continue Saturday, October 17, from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM, giving the public another opportunity to view and purchase original artwork created during Between the Bluffs.
